Sausage and Cheese Stratta

Ingredients:

6 large eggs

2 1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Mrs. Dash® seasoning, any variety

1 lb. hot breakfast sausage, ground

1 large red bell pepper, seeded and medium diced

1 large yellow onion, medium diced

1 package Rothbury Farms® Cheese Garlic Croutons

2 cups Colby Jack cheese, shredded

 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Whisk eggs, milk, heavy cream and seasoning in large bowl; set aside.

Crumble uncooked sausage into 13”x9” inch pan and add diced pepper and onion.

Bake 15-20 minutes, or until sausage is cooked thoroughly. Remove from oven.

Add entire package of Rothbury Farms® Cheese Garlic Croutons and 1 cup of cheese to the pan; stir carefully.

Pour egg mixture into pan and sprinkle with the other cup of cheese. Allow to sit untouched for 10 minutes.

Bake at 350ºF for about 1 hour, or until eggs are set and puffed, and internal temperature reaches at least 160ºF.
